Dr. Pooneh Sabo

I’m Dr. Pooneh Sabo. I was raised in Southern California and went to UC Irvine for my undergraduate studies. I went on to University of the Pacific dental school in San Francisco and graduated in 1994. I have been practicing in Northern California ever since.

My husband Kia and I have been married since 1998 and have a son Milan who was born in 2004. Kia is also a dentist and is a 2006 graduate of the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy running after Milan and taking him to the park, zoo etc. also I love shopping and dinners out in nice restaurants.

When Kia and I had our son, it occurred to us how our lives had changed and how hard it was to fit everything in, including doctor’s appointments. With my over ten years of experience with patients and their busy schedules, it occurred to me that the standard dental practice model did not accommodate family’s and individual’s busy schedule.

At BAY DENTAL we provide the best dental care possible with the highest technology at a reasonable cost to the entire family six days a week with an emphasis on customer care and patient comfort. This concept of all specialty dental services under one roof with minimal referrals to other offices is very unique to dentistry and hopefully it’s one that you could appreciate and also enjoy.

Dr. Nguyen, Orthodontist

Dr. Nguyen grew in Stockton and received his dental education at the University of Pacific in 2001. During his orthodontic residency, he was trained and exposed to numerous techniques, including early treatment and invisalign.

He is an active member in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Clara Dental Society and the American Association of Orthodontists. In his free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys playing tennis, basketball, golf and spending time with his family.

Dr. Yu, Managing Dentist, Bay Dental Sunnyvale

My 20 years experience in dentistry has been committed to general practice, teaching, administrative work and consulting. All these have contributed to my dedication in providing exceptional dental service and care to diverse kinds of patients including children. Improving a patient's smile has always been especially rewarding for me. A smile and a hug from a satisfied patient sustains my love for dentistry. I have a special interest in prevention, endodontics and pedodontics. I was born in the Phillipines and speak Tagalog.

In my free time, I enjoy going to movies with my kids, restaurants, and going on vacation.

Vu Huynh, DMD

Vu Huynh, DMD, received his bachelor degree in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego in 1999. Afterwards, he attended Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University. Upon graduating in 2003, he took the general practice residency position at Boston Medical Center. The overall focus of the residency was to treat immuno-compromised patients. In 2007, he received his specialty certificate in Prosthodontics at Loma Linda University. He continued on to complete a fellowship in Advance Surgery in Implant Dentistry, also at Loma Linda University. Upon completing his education, he relocated from Southern California to Santa Rosa.

Vu is a member of the American Dental Association, the Redwood Empire Dental Society, the American College of Prosthodontists, and an associate fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

In his free time, he enjoys a good round of golf, cycling, and photography.

Dr. Tina Nguyen

Dr. Tina Nguyen graduated from UCSF school of dentistry in 1999, having around 10 years of experience in all phases of general dentistry, with high patient satisfaction in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), and implants. She enjoys jogging, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Ken Hoang

Dr. Ken Hoang attended Boston University Dental School. After graduating, he returned home to the Bay area to be with his family and friends.

He has been practicing dentistry for the past 7 years with more than 500 hours of continuing education on implant dentistry.

Dr. Ken knows how important it is to keep up with advances in the dental field. He takes at least two to three classes or courses each month in topics such as dental implants and cosmetic dentistry to stay current. He also belongs to the San Jose Implant Study Club, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Santa Clara County Dental Society.

When he's not in the office or busy with his dental studies, Dr. Ken likes to spend time with friends enjoying different cuisines, going to the movies, and playing tennis and golf.
